I like to get dressed up once in a blue moon, but more often than not, I’m in jeans, a LuLaRoe Randy (yes, I have my favorites), a pair of chucks, and my hair pulled back in a twist and secured with a flexi clip. This is more like me on any given day.
I love coffee, blogging, graphic design, music, sarcasm, and my family (but not necessarily in that order).
My graphic design journey started (way-way) back in high school. I chose to go the Vo-Tech route in my life because I didn’t want to be bogged down with student loans my whole life (yeah, I still wound up with some). As I spent time trying to figure out who I was and dodging bullies in the halls, I gained a lot of knowledge about Advertising and Graphic Design (Thank you for your guidance, Mr. D!). It’s been over 20 years now, and technology has changed a lot. There’s always something new to learn in the graphic design field.
After graduating high school, I moved on to join the US Navy. I spent four years taking orders and absorbing any knowledge I could. I gotta say, it really helped me learn self-discipline, and may have been the start to my OCD (being organized and tidy isn’t such a bad thing, right?).
The next 15 years I’ve spent working as a web designer, store clerk, data entry clerk, assistant manager, office manager, and direct sales. Then it happened… life decided to throw us curve balls with lemons, and now we’re trying to make lemonade. This blog is a place for me to add my sugar to the mix, and stir life up a bit.
So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and sit with me for a while. I love to chat over a good cup of coffee! Forget about the dirty laundry, the pile of dishes, and the dusting for now. I’ve learned a little something about life, and “good enough” opens up the doors for memories to be made.
